Hopefully by now you understand how the auction grids work. The next step is how to get started. Winning may seem like a daunting task when you're up against the more experienced players. Thankfully YooBeeDoo have 'beginner auctions' and 'free play' auctions that only those who have never won a previous auction can bid on. This leaves you with other new players and gives everyone who is new a fair chance of winning.
'Beginner Auctions' and 'Have a Play' Auctions
Before you jump in and buy some bid-credits you can actually try the site out and play for FREE. These are known as 'Have A Play' auctions. Although this requires registration, I would recommend these auctions for those of you who are sceptical about putting money down. Winning one of these auctions will give you a credit boost if you decide to buy credits and play on the site, but IT WILL COUNT AS A WON AUCTION AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BID ON BEGINNER AUCTIONS. Think carefully about which auction you will enter. Skipping the free play auction and winning a beginner auction instead will award you 10 Bid-Credits, whereas the free play auctions will only net you 5.
For example, lets say using your free bids you won 5 extra bid-credits on your next purchase and your winning price was £1.50. You decide to buy your first 10 bid-credit pack (£10). You would receive 15 bid-credits into your account for £11.50, saving you £3.50.
Now lets go the other way. You decide to skip the Have a Play auction and instead make your first £10 deposit for 10 Bid-Credits. Each bid placed in a beginner auction costs 0.5 Bid-Credits (50p). From here you play and win the beginner auction using 4 bids for a winning price of £1.50. We lost 2 Bid-Credits, but won 10 for £1.50, giving us a total of 18 bid credits for a payment of £11.50. A total saving of £6.50 is made.
If you are reading this within a few months of posting, congratulations - YOU CAN WIN THE BEGINNER AUCTION WITH 1 BID. Because the site is new there are not many players around, almost all of the beginner auctions go with just 1 player placing 1 bid and sometimes no one bids and the acution ends with no winner! I would strongly advise going for the beginner auctions for this reason. If the situation changes I will update my posts to let you guys know!
